Instances Requiring Retention Permission - Part 1

There are three common scenarios where individuals might find themselves in need of retention planning permission:

  1. Retention permission is required for a Property Sale: Homeowners attempting to sell their property may face challenges if certain aspects of the main house or structures on the premises do not comply with planning permission regulations.

  2. Retention permission is required when trying to bring a structure into Compliance with Authority Rules: Individuals seeking to bring their property in line with Planning Authority rules may have to apply for retention permission to regularize unauthorized changes made to their property.

  3. Retention permission is required when you receive a Warning Letter: Those who have installed a Garden Cabin without Planning Permission and have received a notice from the Local Authority are required to seek retention planning permission.

A retention application can be approved or declined. If it is declined it can be appealed. Otherwise, to avoid any legal issues, work may be required on the property to return it to its original state or to a state that has been approved.
