The Retention Planning Timeline
Step 1: Lodging Your Application (Up to 4 Weeks)
When you appoint RetentionPlanning.ie, we guarantee that we will lodge your retention application with the local authority within 4 weeks of the survey date. Often we can have it done quicker than this.
Step 2: The Initial Decision (8 Weeks)
Once the application is lodged with the local authority, it takes 8 weeks for a decision, which is called the initial decision.
Step 3: The Final Grant of Permission (4 Weeks)
It then takes a further 4 weeks for the Final Grant of Permission/Retention.
Total Time: Up to 16 Weeks
In total, the process will take up to 16 weeks.
